09.23.09 2009 Annual Luncheon Celebrates the 40th Anniversary of the Chicago Council of Lawyers
On October 1, Chicago Appleseed and the Chicago Council of Lawyers will host the 2009 Annual Luncheon, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Chicago Council of Lawyers. Honorable Timothy C. Evans, Chief Judge, Circuit Court of Cook County, will be presented with the Commitment to Justice Award, and Judson H. Miner, Founder and First President, Chicago Council of Lawyers, will be presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award. The 2009 Annual Luncheon reception begins at 11:00am, with the lunch and program starting at noon. The event will be held at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, 120 East Delaware Place.
The keynote speaker is Patrick M. Collins, Chair of the Illinois Reform Commission. Program highlights will feature work being done by Chicago Appleseed and the Council of Lawyers to improve the criminal justice system in Cook County. To date, sponsors include:
