Chicago Council of Lawyers
The partnership between Chicago Appleseed and the Chicago Council of Lawyers has provided a systemic reform model of research, education, and advocacy by combining a nationally connected policy and research organization with a local public interest bar association. Chicago Appleseed analyzes social justice issues relating to criminal justice, judicial election reform, parental involvement in education, financial literacy and education, and government effectiveness by combining legal analysis and social science methodology. Chicago Appleseed works with the Chicago Council of Lawyers to advocate for locally implementing the recommendations resulting from its work.
