Introducing the Chicago Appleseed Center for Fair Courts

The Chicago Council of Lawyers founded the Fund for Justice in 1970 as part of their mission to help lawyers demand fairness and effectiveness in the justice system. In 1997, Fund for Justice began its collaboration with the Appleseed Network and Chicago Appleseed Fund for Justice was born.

Today we’re excited to announce our name change to Chicago Appleseed Center for Fair Courts.

The Collaboration for Justice of the Chicago Council of Lawyers and Chicago Appleseed has continued throughout the years, and has become an increasingly effective force in the fight for justice.

With this name change, we effectively reflect the mission of our organization to fight for fair, effective, accessible, and anti-racist courts—in Cook County and beyond.
