Your donation supports the Collaboration for Justice—the joint research and advocacy effort of Chicago Appleseed and the Chicago Council of Lawyers—dedicated to promoting fair and effective courts. Our courts provide the necessary check to potential abuse of power and must operate in a transparent and evidence-based manner so that the community can see what is working and what is not working. At Chicago Appleseed we strive to bring about necessary reforms while recognizing and preserving the strengths of the existing system.
